Jonathan Ross returns to BBC ONE for a seventh season of his weekly award-winning entertainment show Friday Night with Jonathan Ross on Friday 3 September 2004.

It will be the longest run yet - the series airs for 16 weeks through to Christmas.

Joining Jonathan for an exclusive chat in the first show of the season is legendary actor Paul Newman.

He'll be talking about his journey from film icon to philanthropist, the UK charities he supports and his well-known passion for food, and showing Jonathan how to knock up the perfect salad dressing.

Guests also include Christian Slater, soon to star in a new West End production of One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest; Jack Dee, whose latest TV incarnation is his BBC ONE stand-up series, Live at the Apollo; and music from Paul Weller and cult Japanese band The 5.6.7.8.s.

Other guests already confirmed for this season include Ray Winstone, Noel Gallagher, Robbie Williams, Barbara Windsor, Ian Brown, Trinny and Susannah, Geoffrey Rush, P J Harvey, Cybill Shepherd, Duran Duran, Ringo Starr, Jimmy Carr, Ricky Gervais and Graham Norton.

Friday Night with Jonathan Ross is an Open Mike production for BBC Television.
