CBBC Autumn 2004
Peter Mullan plays Michael Scot and Vivien Endicott Douglas is Marnie in Shoebox Zoo

CBBC - Autumn highlights 2004

Introduction

CBBC continues to hit the right note this autumn with a schedule bursting with magic, music - and bogies.

There's exciting new drama, with something for everyone: from Shoebox Zoo, a tale of magic and mystery from CBBC Scotland, to Raymond Briggs' classic cult tale Fungus the Bogeyman.

In2minds tells the tale of Zoe and her dog Sirius, who can read each other's minds; and I Dream is the new all-singing, all-dancing story of life at Avalon Heights fame school, featuring S Club 8 and Christopher Lloyd (from Back to Future).

Madness and mayhem are also in abundance this season with the return of the anarchic duo Dick & Dom.

The boys are back 'in da bungalow' with some new games, and old favourites including the cult game sweeping the nation - Bogies!

The entertainment does not stop there. CBBC's popular magazine show Xchange gets a brand new look this autumn, as the studio gets a make-over for the start of the school year.

As part of the BBC's Hard Spell series, CBBC will be joining in the search for the best spellers of their generation in Hard Spell Camp.

Six contestants aged eight to 10 will pit their spelling wits in a bid to become Hard Spell Camp champion.

CBBC viewers will get the chance to catch the flagship show Blue Peter every weekday on The CBBC Channel, as well as the regular three shows a week on CBBC ONE.

Blue Peter will also be launching a new appeal and viewers can find out about the team's adventures during their summer expedition to India.

Newsround is the only dedicated news service for kids in the UK and it continues to bring all the latest stories in the UK and from around the world.

It provides a daily news service on CBBC ONE, The CBBC Channel and at bbc.co.uk/newsround.
