Jeff Randall
and Jenny Scott will launch BBC Radio Five Live's new weekly
programme Weekend Business this Sunday, (28 March) on the day
of the 10 year anniversary of the station.
Five Live's Weekend Business aims to get under the skin of the
business world.
It will reveal the drama affecting the UK's largest
employers and the personalities running those companies.
There will be the latest business news stories, with
a no-nonsense style low on jargon and high on insight.
The programme will be presented by BBC Business Editor
Jeff Randall, who has unrivalled connections in many of the boardrooms
of Britain's largest companies, and Jenny Scott, BBC News' Economics
correspondent, who regularly features on the One, Six and Ten o'clock
television news.
Jeff Randall said: "I'd like Weekend Business to
be the programme to start your business week with for an informed view
of the week ahead in business and industry."
Bob Shennan, Controller of Radio Five Live, said: "Jeff
is a giant in business journalism. His contact book reads like a Who's
Who of big players in industry, and his style of broadcasting is right
for Five Live.

There will be interviews with the UK's leading business
figures and listeners will get a glimpse of the financial stories in
Monday's newspapers.
Every Sunday night, when thoughts turn to the working
week ahead, Weekend Business will give the low-down on up-coming issues
affecting the corporate world.
