 Arthur
Smith's Last Hangover
Writer
and comedian Arthur Smith brings a comedy anniversary with a difference
to BBC Radio 4 on Tuesday 10 December at 11.00pm.
A year
ago, Arthur Smith was admitted to hospital with an alcohol-related
illness that nearly killed him.
He
subsequently gave up drinking and entered the unfamiliar new world
of the chronically sober.
"Me?
Give up drinking? That's like asking Nigella to give up baking
"
In
this special one-off programme Arthur, with the assistance of comedienne
and actress Caroline Quentin, takes a wry look back at his past
year of sobriety.
Amongst
the topics that Arthur covers are elderflower presse, the existence
of that part of the day known as "the morning" and the
rediscovery of temptation
Arthur
Smith's Last Hangover is on BBC Radio 4 on Tuesday 10 December at
11.00pm.
