Albert Finney and Vanessa Redgrave head an all-star cast in The
Gathering Storm, a major new film for BBC TWO which explores Churchill's
pre-war wilderness years.
The
Gathering Storm also stars Derek Jacobi (Prime Minister Baldwin),
Jim Broadbent (Churchill's close friend and advisor Desmond Morton),
Linus Roache (Ralph Wigram), Ronnie Barker (Churchill's manservant,
Inches), Hugh Bonneville (Ivo Pettifer), Celia Imrie (Churchill's
secretary, the redoubtable Mrs P), Tom Wilkinson (Vansittart) and
Lena Headey (Ava Wigram).
The
Gathering Storm tells the story of Churchill's pre-war years and
his struggle to alert the British people to the threat posed by
the Nazis.
