Your pictures: Holidays

Every week we publish a gallery of readers' pictures on a set theme. This week the theme was holidays and we start with an image by Ludivine Metaye.

David Johns: "My girlfriend watching as we passed over a bed of clouds on her first long haul flight. We visited Canada this year."

Alice Carty: "Our first night in Cornwall after a 10-hour drive. We put the tent up, then headed straight down to the beach."

Sonia Porritt: On a wet camping trip a card game was played until the rain stopped.

Peter Jeffery: "My granddaughter running on the Gulf Coast Beach in Sarasota, Florida. She cannot wait to get wet!"

Irina Gluschenko: "I took this picture on holiday in Alghero, Sardinia, last year. It's amazingly beautiful."

Edie Purdie: "My daughter donned snorkel and mask to spot the starfish settled on the reef off of Nananu-i-Ra Island, Fiji."

Richard Rostill: "My girlfriend Paula looks out to sea from the pool whilst soaking up the sun in Cyprus. That's what holidays are about!"
