The mixed use development would include apartments, offices, shops and leisure outlets, all wrapped around the existing Clarence Dock and Royal Armouries museum.

The proposed footbridge

A new footbridge across the Aire will link the Dock with East Street on the north bank.

The 150-acre site will include 350 flats, a multi-story 2,500 space car-park and a 250-bed hotel. A health and fitness club, casino and members club, and a dockside piazza.

Currently much of the space is the car-park for the Royal Armouries, and the rest is existing and former industrial land.
