On Air: Is it wrong to auction your virginity?

The whole idea has provoked a strong reaction.
There have been a number of stories about individual auctions of virginity before, but, as this blogger states, this takes it to a whole new televisual level.
So is it sordid, as this headline would have it?
Does it take reality TV to a new depth? Some of these commenters think so.
Or is it a legitimate art project "exploring the idea of virginity as a commodity" as the filmmaker, Justin Sisely, was quoted as saying when the whole thing began?
If those taking part are doing so willingly, then what is the problem?
