Does it matter what the world thinks of the US
Hi there. Madeleine here disguised as Ros. Lots of great ideas we could talk about in today's show, but we can't have them all, so this is what it's been whittled down to.
Does it matter the world has a worsening image of the United States? A BBC poll has found that over the last year the view of the US in 25 countries has deteriorated. But does it matter? We're particularly keen to hear from Americans, so get in touch.

What should President Bush do to reduce America's energy consumption? Ahead of Bush's State of the Union speech, and the recent letter to him from heads of major corporations on climate change - Are you prepared to change your lifestyle to help the environment and reduce dependence on foreign oil?
And all this week we want to hear what you think about coverage of the violence in Iraq. See Ros' blog post for more ideas and questions.
Should tuberculosis patients be forcibly isolated to prevent them spreading the disease? The South African government is considering holding people infected with tuberculosis against their will to stop the highly infectious disease getting out of control. A good idea or a draconian measure? What about if it was about other diseases such as HIV?

6. Gang warfare in Los Angeles is returning. There is a renewed warning of a gang war between Latinos and African Americans. Malcolm Klein, a gang expert at the University of Southern California, says "You can reduce it. But the idea you can somehow eliminate it is ridiculous." Why is it ridiculous to eliminate it? What's the motivation behind these gangs and how do people living in residential areas where gangs are prominent, feel?
And finally, we just couldn't do this after last week's extravaganza...
6. Another celebrity hits the headlines for making controversial comments, this time of a homophobic nature….Grey's Anatomy Star Isaiah Washington has met with leaders of the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation to discuss his slur against a gay colleague.
This blogger is calling on the star to be fired. Should the use of the word Faggot lose him his job?
And other ideas from Peter's earlier post.
