It's miserable enough being a West Ham fan without waking up to see pictures of our Javier Mascherano being BITTEN by Jermain Defoe. Mind you, it did provide a nice "Bite Hart Lane"headline for the Sun. Anyway, it's football, not life....so let's crack on...

Over the weekend, i was interested in the comments by the British Home Secretary that his government was losing the "war of ideas" with Al Qu'aeda. Is he right?
Staying with politcs (sort of), the story about the Belgian MP who did a tv interview while clearly under the influence has become a Youtube hit and a cult hero at home. You can see it here....
And the talk of Australia at the moment is the case of a famous racehorse who it turns out may have been poisoned...
And what are the chances of a coup in North Korea?
Anyway, we'll have a meeting in a couple of hours and regular readersd will be delighted to know that Dicky Bowen has graciously ended his holiday in Cuba and re-joined WHYS. And thanks for the Havana Club too Dicky...
