Morning globe trotting bloggers. I hope today will bring you joys the likes of which you have never experienced before. I've already had a small gem today.
After believing that i'd missed the 40th anniversary of Star Trek and therefore missed the opportunity to get the exploits of Captain Kirk and the crew of the USS Enterprise onto WHYS, i find out that that the anniversary is actually tomorrow. And like a dejected Willy Fogg who'd thought he was a day late in his quest to make it around the world in 80 days, i too realised that i'd got an extra day to convince the team that we should celebrate this most moments occasion. If i succeed you'll hear about it tomorrow.
Right, onto today...
We know, he knows we know, we know he knows we know, he knows we know he knows we know he knows. Everybody knows! But for the first time George Bush has actually come out and said that the CIA has a network of secret prisons which house some of the worlds most dangerous terrorists, allegedly.
What's your reaction? Surprise? Or just, "tell me something I don't know." We want to hear what you think.
It might be difficult for us to get any English speakers in the Ivory Coast but if we can we may well be talking about this. The Ivorian cabinet has quit because of a toxic waste scandal in which three people have died. Their PM Charles Konan Banny is staying on but will appoint a new cabinet today. Are you Ivorian? What do you make of this? Was the cabinet right to walk out?
