The credit crunch has taken a big bite out of us this week

What a week it has been.

More than 120 staff at Witter Towbars, Deeside Industrial Estate, are now working one week on and one week off due to a down turn in orders, says tonight's Leader. The firm axed 30 jobs this summer.

Meanwhile this week's Tizer reports there are now 19 shops standing empty in Oswestry - another sign of the credit crunch.

On Friday we heard about 60 Deeside steelpackers seeing their shift patterns halved and then on Monday it was announced 93 jobs going at First Milk in Wrexham.

Can it get any worse?

UPDATE: Yes, it can - JCB, has just announced 400 job losses with 55 at the Wrexham factory.
