So say the older drivers who have posted in response to our earlier blog [Give up the licence Grandma] after a senior police officer suggested OAPs were a danger to the roads.
Contributors like Howell go as far as saying they're safer drivers than younger motorists and cheap insurance quotes for older drivers does suggest they're less of a risk than younger and more inexperienced drivers.
Howell adds: "Accidents involving senior citizen Drivers are fewer than those from other age groups. Insurance companies would be quick to 'load' older drivers' policies if this were the case."
Jane says whilst "younger drivers have better reflexes" she reckons older motorists have "more experience".
Peter sums things well when he says, "I feel the authorities must not generalize but consider each case on the facts."
