Scala works starts - did you ever doubt it?

Well, after what must seem like an eternity for campaigners, work started this week to transform the former Scala Cinem into a £3.5m arts centre, according to www.denbighshire.gov.uk.
There were times along the way when people fighting to safeguard the building must have thought their campaign was lost. Their next fight will be to make the centre a success, bring in the punters and show that such a community facility is needed.
