Dining Out
I have ummed and ahhed about whether to blog this one...but given the look of dismay on the Alliance Deputy Leader's face during this exchange I think it's worth highlighting this extract from yesterday's debate on the Programme for Government.
"Naomi Long: How long do the First Minister and deputy First Minister intend to dine out on the feel-good factor created on 8 May 2007? When will they back it up with substantive action to deliver on a shared future and make that hope a reality?
Some Members: Hear, hear.
The First Minister: I am sure that the honourable lady enjoys dining out herself...."

CORRECTION TO:-YOU’RE A NAUGHTY BOY, MARK
You deserve to have your bottom soundly scalped for highlighting Paisley’s asinine response to Naomi Long. It was a cheap jibe by Paisley who “played the man not the ball.” The unwritten rule “play the ball not the man” applies to we Posters and I feel that as Blog Meister you should apply to it yourself.
Consider yourself told off!

If Dr Paisley had made the remark towards a man it wouldn't have been a problem. All these people should get a life, it was funny!

RESPONSE TO ANDREW IN HILLSBOROUGH (POST 3)
Andrew, Luv
It was irrelevant to me whether or not Paisley’s jibe at Naomi Long was unfunny, mildly funny, very funny or side-splittingly funny. Equally unimportant was the gender of the person to whom the remark was directed. Call me unfashionable but my concern is all about maintaining high standards of Blogesphere etiquette which, judging by the sneering tone of your Post, I wouldn’t expect you to understand. The issue at stake is that Paisley was “playing the man not the ball” and a basic rule for a bona fide Blog Owner is to “play the ball not the man”. On this occasion, Mark let his usually high standards slip by blogging Paisley’s comment.
Right, Andrew Luv, I’m off to get a life, you get back to your comic.
