Springwatch team's April Flickr favourites

Tim Scoones Tim Scoones | 12:35 UK time, Thursday, 8 April 2010

We're at TX minus two months here in Springwatch Towers and while our camera crews head out across the country, you've been busy in your own gardens and green spaces capturing images of spring in all its glory!

The team have selected some of their favourites to show their appreciation for all your efforts! Check out the Springwatch Flickr group for more of your amazing spring shots.

The Springwatch Specials loved this running bunny capture by Derek Bennett with a pleasing panning effect.

Producer Hannah is nuthatch obsessed and even has a recording of trilling nuthatch on her phone. She picked this image by Ian for showing off the plumage colours really beautifully.

I admired this little mouse's tenacity. The lucky photographer, Romford Tony assures us that he wasn't in fact trapped and happily scurried away.

Andy Richardson's frogspawn macro drew in the Simon Squad for its unique depiction of cells dividing which they'd never seen before. Amazing!

Chris Hayward's wren was chosen by our researchers Lucy and Ruth who thought this homemaker was a lovely sign of spring.

Assistant producer Level-headed Joe chose Oldbilluk's frolicking hares because she saw similar behaviour recently when out filming for Springwatch 2010. She thinks this is a brilliant freeze frame.

Our Webbies loved this blue tit collecting nesting material by Diana Mower. They are constantly amazed at how so many of you manage to capture such intimate moments.

Producer Holly chose Jenny's starling image for showing off all the different colours of the feathers which, from a distance, can look so dull.

Our Management Menagerie adores this swan by Steve Newton which they think looks like half a heart waiting for its mate.

What's your favourite sighting so far this spring?

As always we'd love to see your spring pictures so add them to the Springwatch Flickr group and let us know how spring is unfolding where you are.
