I'm the BBC's media correspondent and this is my brief selection of what's going on.

My analysis shows Jeremy Hunt left more questions than answers about his vision for local TV at the end of his Royal Television Society speech. Media executives remained unconvinced and the BBC's Mark Thompson played down the role that the BBC might play.

Media Guardian says Jeremy Hunt backtracked on suggestions that ITV and Channel 4 might lose their places on the front page of the electronic programme guide.

The Guardian reports Adam Crozier, ITV's chief executive, told the RTS conference that ITV was considering charging viewers for watching alternative endings and previews of Coronation Street online.

Cadbury's has been forced to drop its "Glass and a half of milk" phrase from its chocolate bars following claims it failed to comply with EU metrication rules, reports the BBC.
