According to the Guardian and the Financial Times, Channel 5 is set to announce the departure of its chairman and chief executive Dawn Airey, following the takeover by Richard Desmond. Staff have been called to a meeting this morning to hear restructuring plans.

A police advertisement encouraging the public to report suspected terrorists has been banned by the Advertising Standards Authority because it could cause "serious offence" to law-abiding citizens, reports the BBC.
