Dame Joan Bakewell tells the Radio Times that the clean-up TV campaigner Mary Whitehouse was right about some aspects of the sexual revolution - but not all. The two women often crossed swords in the Sixties.

Roy Greenslade says the Daily Telegraph was right to publish the expenses story about David Laws, which led to his resignation as Chief Secretary to the Treasury. Others disagree, as he reports.

Project Canvas, the broadcasters' joint venture which will connect internet video to the TV set, will not launch until next year, after delays in the regulatory process.

Newspapers reveal the names of more than 170 civil servants who earn more than Prime Minister David Cameron. The new government has published the salaries of public servants earning more than £150,000-a-year to aid transparency. Papers review.

EastEnders, The Apprentice and other BBC One shows will be made in high definition by the end of the year, and more will follow, reports the Guardian. A BBC One HD channel is to be launched in the autumn, alongside the existing BBC HD channel.
