I'm the BBC's media correspondent and this is my brief selection of what you need to know.

The Guardian reports that Mark Thompson has unveiled research suggesting that the BBC's journalism is more important to the country's image overseas than the UK government and other institutions.

Ofcom has had hundreds of complaints about clash between Sky News political editor Adam Boulton and Alastair Campbell according to the Guardian.

The Daily Mail is among several papers celebrating the wrinkles of Anna Ford and Selina Scott, smiling at the Sony Radio Academy Awards.

The BBC Newspaper review highlights what the papers say. The five days of uncertainty since the general election were "some of the most amazing in our history", says the Sun.
