I'm the BBC's media correspondent and this is my brief selection of what you need to know.

The three main party leaders are preparing for the UK's first prime ministerial TV debate this evening as the BBC and the Telegraph report.

Science writer Simon Singh has won his libel battle with the British Chiropractic Association, which has dropped the case after losing a recent appeal. The BBC's science correspondent Pallab Ghosh says it sparked an intense debate about the role of libel actions, particularly in areas of scientific controversy.

The US Library of Congress is to acquire the entire Twitter archive according to the Guardian.

Gerard O'Connell of the British Catholic newspaper,The Universe, tells the BBC that the Catholic church's media strategy is failing.

The prime ministerial debates dominate the papers as reflecting in the BBC newspaper review.
