The point I made below about success in internal reviews is well illustrated by this BBC story about possible NHS use of allegedly stolen body parts from the US, which has been making waves today.
At first the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency turned down BBC FOI requests on the subject, but after the journalists involved argued that the public interest favoured disclosure, the MHRA backed down.
