Three Punctures In As Many Days!

Today (Tue 21st) was a frustrating day on the bike. I woke to find a puncture and then punctured again within ten miles. That means three punctures in as many days! Two of these punctures have been the at the valve and not a normal hole, so there is no way to fix them.

I normally carry two spare inner tubes plus patches, however now have no spares if I puncture again! From this morning it is 300km to the next bike shop. My only option is the pedal on... carefully!

I am now crossing back over the Rockies to the town of Prince George, heading south west, and so had a day long climb up to 3000ft. There was a tough headwind but the road was never steep so I spun it out through some stunning mountain scenery, following the river upstream. By the end of the day all the mornings frustrations were past and I am now sat on the lake side, at a stunning camp spot being eaten alive by mozzies! Still, it is impossible to carry stress in places like this.

I think tomorrow should be mainly downhill!
