  1. Friction wins Sony Gold...

    Congratulations to Bobby Friction and the Friction programme team on an important night of success for Asian Network at the Sony Radio Awards.
    I'm extremely proud that a show that we launched barely one year ago came through with the Gold . 'Friction' was designed to be not just a platform for unsigned British-Asian music but an absolute open door for new listeners to investigate some of the most exciting new musical trends being created right now.
    We have some of the best Specialist Music programmes anywhere on radio and will continue to build on a growing reputation.
    Here's to the team behind our winning entry: Bobby Friction, Reju Sharma, Meera Patel and Assistant Editor Khaliq Meer.
