Have there been other influences on the way you speak: "Born in Plymouth until three years old, then to German three to seven years, back to Cornwall seven to nine, back to Germany ten to 13, then to Suffolk."

About this interview
DEBBIE: Today's language, I mean the youngsters like the the teenagers that I, er , come, they almost have like a language to themselves and sometimes you think, you know, what are they on about? And I don't mean that in a nasty way or anything. But it's like, you know you sometimes think what do they mean, you know. And they, well they - ALAN: They make it up with their text messages. DEBBIE: AWWGH. And that's slang isn't it? Every word's well exactly, but - ALAN: Ok, but that's just us showing our age, or I'm showing my age I should say. DEBBIE: Well, you're not I'm (laughs) quite happy to admit how old I am.
