The 50s Advocate contract

Advocate

Pete Wylie

Born in the 50s in Liverpool, Pete Wylie is best known as the leader of Wah! whose various incarnations rang out on the John Peel show - and occasionally on Top of the Pops.

Hits like The Story Of The Blues, Come Back, Sinful and Heart As Big As Liverpool have sustained his reputation as a part-time rock star and a full-time legend.

Though he emerged from the Liverpool punk scene alongside Ian McCulloch and Julian Cope, it's the primal rock 'n' roll of the 50s that inspire him today.

One of rock's most passionate and opinionated characters, his motormouth media appearances are invariably unmissable.
