is Roots? Roots is a joint scheme between the BBC and the Arts
Council which aims to improve the quality and range of arts and
cultural coverage on BBC local radio, television and in local arts
venues.
We
concentrate particularly but not exclusively on African, Asian,
Caribbean and Chinese arts and culture.

Project Co-ordinator Parminder Dosanjh is based in Leicester and
works to develop community and artistic links to create new and
exciting features for BBC Radio Leicester's mainstream programmes
and the BBC Leicester website.
