- The
house was converted into a vast Italianate mansion with
porticoes by John Nash.
- William
Nesfield is responsible for the gardens, stonework and
fountains.
- The
house was gutted by fire in 1937 which mercifully spared
the magnificent church.
- Witley
Court is currently under the care of English
Heritage.
