  • William Nesfield is responsible for the gardens, stonework and fountains.
  • The largest fountain, representing Perseus and Andromeda, once shot water 120 feet upwards.
  • The house was gutted by fire in 1937 which mercifully spared the magnificent church.
  • Witley Court is currently under the care of English Heritage.
