MusiciansYou are in: Hereford and Worcester > Entertainment > Friday Session > Musicians > Frantik ![]() FrantikA band that has built on the early promise which saw them described in NME as "the ones to look out for in 2004"
When rock was first born, it was defined by its raw energy and its rebellion of standard. With an upload of raw energy for every song, there may be rebellion, but there is certainly nothing standard about the music style or performance of Frantik. ![]() Chunk A case proven when the band Rocked a crowd of 1500 alongside the Big Brovaz at the Telford Ice Rink and headlined Romeo in later weeks pulling in bigger crowds. Gigs at one of the Mean Fiddler's top venues in London - The Garage - had them mentioned in the NME as "the ones to look out for in 2004" and ITV's production of Uncovered has seen the band selected as one of the Midlands finest live acts to take part in a televised Battle of the Bands (screened in April 2004). The BBC has shown a lot of interest in Frantik, firstly when they selected the single 'Havin' A Ball' for use in the coverage of the Para Olympic Games 2004, then by requesting material to review for a possible appearance on the show 'Later with Jools Holland' in the forthcoming series. ![]() Robby of Frantik Frantik are no strangers to media coverage.
