"The entertainment factor behind most bands' formative story is in the recruitment of various members over the years. That is probably why my story is rather plain. You could argue that I was formed at some point between 1987 when I was born, 1991 when I started learning the piano, and 2003 when I started writing songs. ![]() Luke gets airborne Most likely it was 2003, when I became involved in the local music scene, and played in a few bands (Flatulent Mindy And The Badgers, neitherbignorclever, and ALOMO). I dabbled in guitar playing in bands, and also song writing, but it all came to the fore in the spring of 2005 when I fancied playing solo as well as playing piano in ALOMO. So I did it - and people liked it.
Help playing audio/video So now I play solo, and in ALOMO, and I write lots of songs that recall the classic pop of The Beatles and Elton John, blended with the more modern song writing techniques of Ben Folds and The Rocket Summer. Essentially, I'm just a very English sounding young fellow tinkling along on a piano as well." - Luke Leighfield You can listen to all the latest music from across the two counties on the Friday Session, every week from 7pm, on BBC Hereford & Worcester.last updated: 16/01/2009 at 23:06 Have Your SayWhat do you make of Luke's music?
