What are YOUR memories?

Share YOUR memories with Memoryshare!

From your first kiss to the first gig you went to - The Beatles in Bradford? The Sex Pistols in Huddersfield? - and from the big events - maybe Millennium Night or the Miners' strike - to your briefest memory, why not share it with Memoryshare?

The BBC's Memoryshare will gradually piece together what we know will be an intriguing people's history of Britain, based on YOUR experiences wherever you are!

Tributes to Princess Diana

You can post a memory or observation relating to any day from 1900 onwards...

It doesn't have to be a big thing - it's just whatever has stuck in your mind for one reason or another.

But, of course, we'd also love to hear from you if you can remember what you were doing and what you thought about the big events in your life, whether it's the birth of a child or a big news story that was making the headlines.

You can...

  • Post memories which relate to any location in the world (it doesn't just have to be West Yorkshire)
  • Post a memory of an important event, whether it's personal (your wedding, the birth of your first child) or public (what you were doing when Diana died, where you watched Live Aid or even Live8!)
  • Post a memory of a small event, even if you don't think it seems important (bilberry picking on Ilkley Moor, your first pet, getting your ears pierced)
  • Write as much or as little as you like, whether it's 50 words or 500!
  • You can also comment on other people's memories...

Here are some ideas!

Need your memory jogging? Have a look at this list of things which might spark a memory or two for you, but remember it's up to YOU what you write about!
