Punjabi rapper Mikko was born in the Punjab and raised in Queens, New York. He's influenced by Rap, R&B and Reggae. Since releasing 'Pataka' he's been working on new material with production from Panjabi Mafia, Jus Ritz, and Lok Young. Growing up in New York Mikko was surrounded by street music, this lead him to develop his own sound of folk style hardcore Punjabi Rap. Watch out for this artist as he drops his debut album next year.

Badeshi is a music producer influenced by a range of sounds from the world around him. He likes to experiment with a variety or equipment and techniques often travelling around the world to record and explore. Badeshi is a self confessed equipment junkie wiring and rewiring his often complicated audio setup incorporating state of the technology with the vintage and obscure. He also maintains a love for the diverse with a recognition of blending and mixing genres working without the confines of definition.

Nosheen discovered music in 2002, whilst auditioning for asian pop band 'Devoted'. Now a solo artist, Nosheen experiments in quirky rock fusion and Electro pop. She defines herself as a rebel with a cause, a girl who comes from a strict background who woke up one day and decided to risk it all for a dream. She's been performing at pop shows, charity gigs and festivals for several years and her debut album will be out soon.

Future Friction: Sarah Sayeed

Sarah Sayeed is a singer songwriter who works with guitars, soul and hip hop beats, whilst being influenced by a tradition of Indian sonatas. She can switch from mc-ing to singing classical Bengali Raags. She’s been developing her voice for the last five years with the Royal Northern College of Music. She has a BTEC in Asian Classical Music and is training with prolific classical singer Swati Natekar. Sarah Sayeed has performed at venues across the world and is currently working on new material.

Future Friction: Nonchalant

Nonchalant is a producer from Manchester who experiments with R&B, Hip Hop and Pop. He chose his name because it symbolizes his attitude to established music scenes: he's not afraid to venture outside the boundaries of asian music. He's wrote his first song when he was 15. His influences range from Punjabi Folk to Acid Jazz but he doesn't like to restrict himself and commits to fusing different musical styles.
