Ranjini, from Richmond, Virginia in USA, first started singing at the age of 5. She was classically trained in the Indian school of music by her mother, and when she was 6 Ranjini began training in Bharatanatyam, a form of Indian dance. Ranjini has performed on stage in Canada, India, and throughout the US and plays a range of instruments, from piano to the veena (an ancestor of the sitar). Growing up listening to artists like Brian McKnight, Stevie Wonder and Whitney Houston, she gravitated towards pop/R&B and at 19 moved to New York to persue her dream of being a recording artist.

Future Friction Raju Mali

Raju Mali is a multitalented singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist originally from Katmandu and now living in Birmingham. Raju is a self-taught producer that has been playing the Guitar, keyboards and the drums since secondary school. A few years ago Raju started to produce music and work with different artists, experimenting with a range of genres from Hip Hop, Jazz to Reggae. Recently he co-produced the music for the Tolkien weekend project and was involved as a composer and live performer in 'The Secret History of Indian Cinema', which was part of the Cinema of Prayoga national tour.

RJ Productions started learning the tabla at the age of 4 and is classically trained in playing the violin and piano. Over the last few years he has been developing his skills as a DJ and started to produce his own material. He produced his first track at the age of 16 for his GCSE's and is continually developing new ideas with different genres. With influences stemming from A.R Rahman to Timbaland, his overall ambition is to become a successful music producer that permits him to produce music for various artists and genres.

Future Friction Icky

Icky is a multi-talented DJ, producer and rapper who started making music a few years ago with the help of his brother The Karachi Kid. They started by producing beats for their rap crew 'Dun Freezing Soldiers', which gradually moved Icky onto writing his own lyrics about life, friends and family. His goal is to educate, help and reach people through his music, drawing from his own experiences. His influences range from Eminem to the Wu Tang Clan and is currently working on a Dun Freezing Mixtape and more solo material, which will release sometime this year.
